Liapor offers a ceramic, pure mineral substrate made of expanded clay. It is especially suitable for hydroponics and aquaponics and is applied in the interior design, the planting of pots, for drainage layers, but also in the fields of ornamental plant and plant breeding. Due to the production process in a rotary kiln at a temperature of about 1,200 °C, Liapor® is germfree as well as chemically and biologically neutral. Both the matched particle shape and the distribution of the pores have a capillary conductive effect. The substrate drains and supports the gas exchange at the roots.
